Suspected insurgents kill two migrant labourers in Manipur
Imphal, Dec 18 (ANI): Two migrant labourers were killed by suspected insurgents here on Thursday.
This is the second such incident in past two days in the remote eastern state bordering Myanmar.
The bodies of the two labourers were found by the police in Chingmeirong Kabui Khul area on the outskirts of Imphal.
The labourers hailed from Bihar and Assam and were working in an ice manufacturing unit.
The victims have been identified as Gajindra Ram (50) and Subhash Yadav (30).
The assailants forced entry into their house from backside and shot them point blank in sleep.
"Both were sleeping on the cot when gunmen entered from the rear of the house and killed them," said Bipin Singh, a migrant labourer.
At least 24 migrants have been killed in Manipur since February this year. (ANI)
