Chidambaram condemns killing of Shopian girl
New Delhi, Dec 17: Home Minister P Chidambaram on Thursday, Dec 17, condemned the brutal killing of a 20-year-old girl by unidentified militants in Shopian.
Speaking to a news channel, he said, "I condemn the brutal killing of an innocent girl. This is bizarre, what does she have to do with militancy? They (militants) have no ethics."
20-year-old Shiraza Akhtar was shot dead on Tuesday, Dec 15 by militants in Shopian district of Kashmir.
No organisation or individual has claimed responsibility for it till now.
Chidambaram added that the Jammu Kashmir police have been asked to leave no stone unturned to nab the people behind the brutal killing of Shiraza.
