UP on terror alert, installations secured

Lucknow, Dec 15: Uttar Pradesh has been put on high alert following intelligence inputs on possible terrorist strike in the state, a ZeeNews report said.

Security has been beefed up in vital installations in the state in the wake of the terror alert.

The decision was taken after the meeting called by prime minister Manmohan Singh on Monday, Dec 14, which was attended by Home Minister P Chidambaram, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Defence Minister AK Antony and the chiefs of Intelligence Bureau and RAW.

Earlier on Monday, Dec 14, terror alert was raised in Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi and Gujarat based intelligence report on possible suicide attacks in the states.
