Action against Gafoor for accusing seniors: Patil
Nagpur, Dec 15: Maharashtra Home Minister R R Patil vowed action against Hasan Gafoor, who was the Mumbai police commissioner during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, for his accusations against senior police officers.
Speaking to the media ahead of the first anniversary of 26/11 attacks, Gafoor had accused four of his senior colleagues of dereliction of duty during the attack.
The home minister, who said action will be taken against the police officer for breach of discipline on Monday, Dec 14, also promised action against ten persons who were handling the file relating to procurement of bullet proof jackets for Mumbai police.
This comes in the wake of the controversy over the missing bullet proof vest of ATS chief Hemant Karkare, who was killed during the attacks.
