Toyota compact car concept to be unveiled in 2010

Tokyo, Dec 11: Automobile leader Toyota Motor Corp is all set to unveil a concept model of the compact car code-named EFC (Entry Family Car) in India in Jan 2010.

The car which will be initially launched in India and Brazil will feature in Delhi auto show on Jan. 5, the company said in a statement released on Thursday, Dec 10.

The much-awaited compact car is in production.

The company plans to begin production of the car at a new Indian factory from late 2010 while the production in Brazil is due to start in 2011 at the earliest.

The production of the car is expected to cost well under 10,000 dollars.
