Vodafone brings back Zoozoos

Mumbai, Nov 28: Vodafone's most-beloved mascots- Zoozoos are back. The new series of ads featuring the white egg headed characters hit the Indian television screens again on Friday, Nov 27, advertising the company's new value added services.

Vodafone Essar, the Indian subsidiary of Vodafone Group, first introduced Zoozoos to the audiences during the Indian Premier League 2 cricket tournament in Apr 2009. In the new campaign Vodafone will be featuring three new Zoozoo advertisements every week on television.

“The Zoozoos campaign resonated strongly with viewers in creating an emotional connect and communicating our various offerings. The Zoozoos are back again to tell viewers about our various innovative and customer-centric offerings in a simple and endearing manner," Kumar Ramanathan, Chief Marketing Officer, Vodafone Essar said.

Even though there was a gap of almost six months since a new Zoozoo ad was released, the ads and especially the characters were kept alive by the company and the fans through various other mediums and platforms such as social networking sites.

The brainchild of the leading ad agency Ogilvy & Mather not only won many advertising awards, the simplistic ads which followed the campaign featuring the pug also impressed PETA.
