Headley is related to Pak PM: Report

New Delhi, Nov 28: If the reports on David Coleman Headley alias Daood Gilani being a US undercover agent who turned rogue was shocking enough, then revelation on Headley's ancestral roots in Pakistan will be even more shocking.

A deep investigation on Headley's ancestry has revealed that the terror suspect could be related to Pakistan premier Yousuf Raza Gilani.

According to reports Headley's father Sayed Salim Gilani, who is a Pakistani diplomat and former Director General of Radio Pakistan, has claimed of belonging to the same Gilani family with the prime minister.

Along with sharing the same family name, members of Headley's family has also held good positions in the prime minister's office.

Headley's step brother Danyal Gilani was working as a Public Relations Officer (PRO) in the prime minister's office.

David Coleman Headley was arrested by FBI on Oct 3 for plotting terror attacks on India along with Pakistan-born Canadian Tahawwur Hussain Rana.
