Maoists blow up building in Jharkhand

Chibasa, Nov 15: Suspected Maoists blew up an under-construction panchayat bhawan at Dumbuli village in Jharkhand's West Singhbhum district, police said on Sunday, Nov 15.

According to Superintendent of Police Akhilesh Kumar Jha, around 30 ultras equipped with fire-arms blew up the building late last night Nov 14.

The police rushed to the spot and a massive combing operation was launched to track down the culprits, he said.

Earlier, the Maoists had set on fire a crusher plant in Manoharpur and torched three earth movers at Sonua in the district two days ago.
