Guj HC receives PIL from 80-yr-old against Advani

Ahmedabad, Nov 11: Veteran BJP leader LK Advani has been issued a reminder by eighty-year-old K D Pandya in the form of a PIL filed in the Gujarat High Court.

Pandya had sought court's directive against Advani to concentrate more towards his Parliamentary constituency, Gandhinagar.

In the PIL filed in the Gujarat HC, Pandya said that the veteran BJP leader should first express his loyalty to his constituency before pledging his loyalty to his party.

Suggesting the adoption of a process practised in Switzerland, Pandya said, "MPs in our country take important decisions without consulting electorates and there is no participation on part of the citizens in the decision making process."

The PIL also included a recommendation for setting up of electorates forum in Gandhinagar for discussion of various issues and for offering solution to MPs.

He also said that a referendum should be taken before taking any important policy-related decision.
