As expected, Madhu Koda gets hospitalized

Ranchi, Nov 3: In what comes as an expected reaction from an Indian politician in trouble, former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda who is in middle of a disproportionate assets scam has complained of health problems.

Koda was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Apollo Hospital on Tuesday, Nov 3, after he complained of severe stomach ache.

"We cannot say what exactly is the problem. We are conducting tests and we will be able to say anything after the test reports," a doctor at the hospital was quoted as saying in a news agency report.

Koda who is believed to have amassed illegal wealth in tune of Rs 2,000 crore has come under the scanner of the IT department. Earlier, IT department complained that Koda was not co-operating with the interrogations.

However, Koda reportedly had complained of a similar stomach pain about two weeks ago. He was recently discharged from the hospital after he underwent an operation.

But the present development is being seen as Koda's move to avoid authorities and the probe.
