M'rashtra: Cong-NCP likely to fight over CM post
Mumbai, Oct 22: Congress and NCP alliance which has taken down the rival Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)- Shiv Sena alliance, has yet another battle to face within the alliance- the post of the Chief Minister.
Even though DP Tripathi, NCP spokesperson has envisioned a middle path where the party with the highest wins would get the CM post, there is a very good chance that the the allies would fight over it.
Congress which was few seats behind in the 2004 polls , it claimed the CM post and it is unlikely of letting go of the seat even now. With Vilasrao Deshmukh already giving a statement that Congress would retain the CM seat, the upcoming battle is already taking shape.
