Yuvraj Singh's father loses maiden election
Panchkula, Oct 22: Cricketer-turned-politician Yograj Singh, who was fielded by the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), lost his maiden election from the Panchakula assembly seat in Haryana.
Yograj Singh, who is not only a former Indian cricketer but also the father of the present cricketing ace, Yuvraj Singh, was defeated by Congress candidate Devender Kumar Bansal by over 12,250 votes.
Even though Yograj was trailing in the fourth place, he quickly caught up with the other candidates to clinch the runner-up position.
