Cong leads in assembly polls, BJP blames EVMs

New Delhi, Oct 22: With Congress leading in all the three states, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is emerging as not only a looser but a sour looser at that. BJP which is lagging behind in the assembly polls has not blamed the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for the failure.

BJP spokesman Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Thursday, Oct 22 has said that the EVM fraud was the reason behind Congress' lead. The EVMs have become 'Electronic Victory Machines' for the Congress, he said.

"It is a sponsored victory for the Congress," Naqvi said.

This is not the first time, BJP has raised doubts over EVMs. Veteran BJP leader, Lk Advani had also questioned the credibility of the EVMs after the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance took a drubbing in the May 2009 Lok Sabha Polls.
