NSG commados will get high-tech weapons: PC

Manesar, Oct 16: Union Home Minister P Chidambaram on Friday, Oct 16 said that the government will procure high-tech and sophisticated weapons for NSG commandos to help them deal with any terror threat.

Addressing the commandos at the silver jubilee celebrations, Chidambaram said, "The NSG is going to induct high-tech and sophisticated weapons in the coming days."

He pointed out that India would never forget the supreme sacrifice made by the NSG commandos during the Mumbai terror attacks.

Chidambaram said, "We also remember the supreme sacrifice of NSG commandos Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan and Hawildar Gajender Singh and the entire force who fought the terrorists in Mumbai terror attacks 2008."
