HCL acquires 5-year outsourcing deal from Fortis
New Delhi, Oct 6: HCL Infosystems has bagged a five year outsourcing contract worth 15 million dollars with the major hospital chain, Fortis Healthcare.
Fortis Healthcare which announced this development on Monday, Oct 5 said that the IT major will be implementing software solutions at all its facilities.
"The deal is part of a five-year agreement under which HCL will undertake complete outsourcing of IT systems and processes of Fortis Healthcare Ltd," Fortis Healthcare vice-president Corporate affair G S Bedi said.
Under this deal, Fortis network will be standardised through the IT system installed by HCL within a year. The first hospital is expected to go live by the end of Feb 2010.
Informing that the deal would be more than 15 million dollars, Mr Bedi said that the actual cost depends upon the number of facilities group acquires.
As part of the first its kind heathcare-outsourcing deal, HCL would not only install software solutions at all Fortis hospitals but also train its employees.
