Centre to file affidavit negating Gujarat Govt. claims over Ishrat case
Ahmedabad, Sep 29 (ANI): The blame game between the Centre and the Gujarat Government over the fake encounter of a 19-year-old Gujarat college girl Ishrat Jahan and three others shows no sign of ending, as the former has now reportedly said that it will file a affidavit against the Narendra Modi led-Government's argument.
The Gujarat Government claims that its police officials acted on inputs provided by the Union Home Ministry, which dubbed the four as Lashkar operatives and alleged that the Centre had given credibility to the reports that Ishrat Jahan was on a mission to target Gujarat Chief Minister Modi.
The Home Ministry has said that a affidavit would be filed in the Ahmedabad court on Tuesday that will clarify the allegations made by the Modi Government on the Ishrat Jahan fake encounter case, a Times Now report said.
According to reports, the affidavit will clarify that the information given by the Centre was a tip off and does not validate the action taken by Gujarat Government, which led to the death of Jahan and three others.
Earlier, reports had also said that the Centre respects human values and is not only against the fake encounters, but against any encounter. (ANI)
