Chidambaram to visit Jharkhand on Sep 25
Ranchi, Sep 25: Union Home Minister P Chidambaram will visit Jharkhand on Friday, Sep 25 to raise the issue of Naxal menace with top state officials, a source in the Raj Bhavan said here.
Sources also said that Governor K Sankaranarayanan discussed security measures with senior officials ahead of Chidambaram's visit to the state capital.
Chidambaram, who is making determined effort to root out naxalism from the country, would also inaugurate an administrative building of of the state police.
Earlier in Jul 2009, Maoist leader, in a press release at Garhwa, had dared the union minister to step in the state.
