Chinese Ambassador denies incursions reports

New Delhi, Sep 22: Amid reports of Chinese incursions, its Ambassador Zhang Yan met Home Secretary G K Pillai here on Tuesday, Sep 22.

Talking to reporters after meeting with Home Secretary G K Pillai here, Chinese Ambassador Zhang Yan said, "Nothing is happening. You listen to your leaders."

Last week, Zhang had met National Security Advisor M K Narayanan and Joint Secretary in-charge of China in MEA Vijay Gokhale.

Earlier, reacting on Chinese incursions, Chief of Army staff General Deepak Kapoor had said that there has been no increase in Chinese incursions along the Sino-Indian border.

Indian media had reported that two soldiers of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) were injured in firing from across the border on the LAC in Arunachal Pradesh, part of which China claims as its territory.
