Pak troops fire on Indian positions, violating ceasefire

New Delhi, Sep.21 (ANI): Pakistan troops, in yet another violation of the ceasefire, fired on the Indian positions in Mendhar and Krishanghati areas of Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch sector for at least 15-20 minutes.

There were no casualties and Indian troops did not retaliate, said an Indian Army spokesman.

Till now, over 40 incidents of ceasefire violation have been reported this year.

In 2003, India and Pakistan declared a ceasefire along the Line of Control as part of confidence-building measures (ANI)
