Pak puts Hafiz Saeed under house arrest

New Delhi, Sep 21:The media reports revealed that Jamaat-ud-Dawah chief Hafiz Mohammad Saeed, the mastermind of the Mumbai attacks was placed under house arrest in Lahore on Monday, Sep 21.

Saeed was prevented to lead Eid prayers at the Gaddafi Stadium.

"Police party has been deputed outside his residence restricting his movement," Geo News said.

However, it was not confirmed if Saeed was under official house arrest. Media reported that Saeed's movement was restricted for reasons of security.

The arrest followed three days after Pakistani authorities filed two cases against Saeed, also the founder of LeT responsible for the Mumbai attacks, under the anti-terrorism act.
