ISRO begins countdown for PSLV C-14 launch at Sriharikota
Sriharikota, Sep 21 (ANI): The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has started the countdown for the launch of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) on Monday.
The PSLV - C -14 is scheduled to launch from the Satish Dhavan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, on Wednesday.
The PSLV, the most trusted launch vehicle of the ISRO would carry the 960 kilograms indigenous Oceansat 2 and six other nano satellites, including four Cubesats and two Rubinsats in its present mission.
Oceansat 2 is the sixteenth remote sensing satellite of India and has the shape of a cuboid with two solar panels projecting from the sides.
The Indian technocrats are expecting to increase the ocean monitoring capacity from the Oceansat 2.
The ISRO technocrats, who suffered a jolt with the untimely end of the Chandrayaan-I, last month, are putting all efforts in the pre-launch activities at launch centre. (ANI)
