Radio Mirchi celebrates Dasara with 'Bombe Habba'

Bangalore, Sep 18: Blending festivity with social responsibility, Radio Mirchi is organising 'Bombe Habba' this Dasara, through which the FM station will be collecting toys and distributing them among the underprivileged kids.

'Bombe Habba' which in essence means festival of dolls is part of the Dasara celebrations in Karnataka which is traditionally celebrated by arranging dolls and toys in a rack consisting of 9 steps indicating the Navarathri or 9 days of celebrations.

Through such a representation of the season's festival Radio Michi's has called on the citizens of Bengaluru to contribute toys or dolls that will be collected, displayed and thereafter donate the same to the underprivileged kids of an NGO post the celebrations.

Making it the biggest ever toy arrangement in the city, Mirchi will be erecting a 30 foot rack at Garuda Mall before donating them to underprivileged kids.

Those who wish to contribute dolls or toys can call or SMS on 58888 or log on to Radio Mirchi & place requests to enable pick ups of their toy contributions. Contributions can also be dropped at Radio Mirchi office or just call the DTDC hotline 25544127 and they will ensure that it is picked up.
