H1N1 death in Delhi takes India's toll to 135
New Delhi, Sep 8: A 60-year-old person reportedly died of Swine flu in New Delhi taking India's H1N1 death toll to 135.
Durga Prasad Sharma succumbed to the H1N1 virus on Monday, Sep 7 afternoon, said health officials. Apart from this, a 12-year old girl is in a critical condition and has been put on ventilator.
34 fresh cases were reported in the city, taking the total number of positive cases to 843. This accounts for the the second highest figure in the country.
Following the increase in Swine flu cases and few students testing positive, three public schools in Delhi have also been closed down.
