Yahoo shuts another social networking site

New Delhi, Sep 2: The social network site, SpotM that Yahoo started in India to as an experiment has been shut down.

Announcing this move company wrote on the SpotM website stating that it was 'experimenting' with SpotM and says the site will no longer be accessible.

This social network that enabled its users to keep their friends secret and communicate through text messages without disclosing phone numbers.

This is the third social networking site Yahoo has closed down in the recent times. In Jul 2009, Yahoo shut Yahoo 360 after closing down Yahoo Mash last year.

Under the CEO Carol Bartz, the company continues to cut its non core products.
