Missing Andhra CM's copter may not have crashed, says Chidambaram
New Delhi, Sep.2 (ANI): Union Home Minister P.Chidambaram on Wednesday evening denied the possibility that the copter carrying Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister may have crashed and the search operation will remain on through out the night.
The search operation for the missing Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister will remain on throughout the night on foot, Chidambaram was quoted to have stated by the Zee News channel.
Chidambaram refuted the possibility, as no signal from the Emergency locator transmitter had been received.
The Army Commandos, CRPF personnel will carry out the search through out the night. The Sukhoi-30 aircraft is also engaged in the operation at night as it is capable of taking images at night.
Meanwhile, former Director General of Border Security Force (BSF) M.L. Kumawat described the search operation of YSR as "the most intensive, comprehensive, multi-borne search operation ever launched in the country."
"It is a difficult terrain and will take some time," he added. (ANI)
