Prime Minister greets the nation on Onam festival

New Delhi, Sep.1 (ANI): Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on Tuesday greeted people of the country on the eve of Onam, the harvest festival.

"Onam is an occasion to celebrate the secular traditions and rich heritage of our country. The harvest festival is also a joyous tribute to the farmer. The festival inspires us to unity and brotherhood and to cherish our environment," said Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh in a message to the nation.

"May the festival bring prosperity and happiness to all," the message further said. (ANI)
