JK gets its first woman Divisional Commissioner

Srinagar, Aug 31: Naseema Lankar was appointed as the first Divisional Commissioner in Kashmir.

An official spokesperson on Sunday, Aug 30, confirmed that Lankar would replace Masood Samoon, the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir.

Lankar was appointed as a result of transferring 12 IAS and 14 KAS (Kashmir Administrative Service).

B B Vyas, who was Principal Secretary to the Governor, has been appointed as the Commissioner Secretary of Planning and Development.

Tashi Dorjee, Joint Financial Commissioner (Agrarian Reforms) was transferred as Secretary, Home Department.

Kuldip Lal Khajuria, Additional District Development Commissioner, Samba was placed as the Deputy Commissioner, Poonch.
