HP planning to sell parts of outsourcing biz
New York, Aug 20: According to media reports, Hewlett-Packard Co (HP) is planning on shutting or selling parts of its outsourcing business.
Quoting sources, a new agency report said that the company is mulling over the option of divesting its business process outsourcing arm in order to focus on the higher-margin services offerings.
In the quarter ended Apr 2009, the outsourcing arm of the company saw 709 million dollars in revenue.
However, HP may not sell anything of the buyers fail to quote a good price. As of now, TeleTech and Stream Global Services are seen as potential buyers, said the report.
