Pune girl dies of Swine flu, toll rises to 8
Pune, Aug 11: A 13-year-old girl on Tuesday, Aug 11 died of Swine Flu in Pune. This death has brought the toll of swine flu deaths in India to eight.
Shruti Gawade, a student of Ahilyadevi School, became the the eighth victim of swine flu virus, died at 01:30 am on Tuesday, Aug 11.

hospital
said,
"Shruti,
a
resident
of
Narayan
Peth
area,
had
been
kept
on
ventilator
since
Aug
7
when
she
was
brought
here
after
being
referred
from
a
private
hospital
in
critical
condition."
She was diagnosed with H1N1 on Aug 8 and was administered Tamiflu. The teenager had also complained of severe cough and breathlessness. She is the sixth Pune resident to die because of swine flu.
Earlier, on Monday, Aug 10, a 35-year-old pharmacist Sanjay Bahausaheb Tilekar who had been in critical condition for the past few days, died of Swine Flu at Sassoon.
