Maharashtra: Gangrape victim commits suicide

Thane, Aug 4: Four youngsters who allegedly gang raped a girl leading to her suicide have been arrested by the police.

The teenage girl who was kidnapped on Saturday, Aug 1 night was taken to a deserted place where the four accused gang raped her. The girl was later abandoned, the police said.

On returning home, the girl who was unable to come to terms with the incident hanged herself to death.

Police had registered a case of accidental death earlier. However, on investigation it was found that the girl had committed suicide due to the trauma of rape.

According to some media reports, one of the accused was the girl's boyfriend.
