West Bengal Transport Minister passes away
Kolkata, Aug 3 (ANI): West Bengal Minister for Transport, Sports and Youth Affairs Subhas Chakraborty passed away at a private hospital in Salt Lake on Monday.
Sixty-eight-year-old Chakraborty is survived by his wife and a son.
According to party sources, the senior CPI (M) leader had been on ventilator support and died at 11:35 a.m. He was suffering from cancer.
West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and other senior CPI-M leaders visited the hospital. (ANI)
