Indra Nooyi named CEO of the Year 2009

Washington, Jul 14: Socially responsible business practices and taking measures to tackle the Climate Change in the industry are few of the reasons why the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PepsiCo, Indra Nooyi was named the 2009 CEO of the Year.

The Indian-born CEO was awarded with the coveted title on Monday, Jul 13 by the Global Supply Chain Leaders Group (GSCLG).

Nooyi's fight for nutritious foods and beverages, along with her new multi-year growth strategy - 'Performance with Purpose' have been hailed in the business circuits.

Expressing happiness over the being awarded Nooyi said, "This award is a testament to the dedication of our 198,000 associates around the world who work tirelessly to grow our business and act as ethical and responsible citizens of the world."
