BSP MP displays 'fake' currency of Rs 500 in Rajya Sabha
New Delhi, Jul 14 (ANI): Bahujan Samaj Party member Brajesh Pathak created a scene in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday when he displayed a currency of Rs 500, which the MP claimed to be 'fake.'
Pathak, who was participating in a debate on General Budget, tried to grab the attention of the members by displaying Rs 500 currency and claimed that he got the currency from an ATM in the Parliament Annexe.
P. J. Kurian who was, in the Chair of the presiding officer, asked Pathak to table the currency as there is no provisions to display any items in the rule.
Pathak claimed that his intention of displaying the currency was to show the inefficiency of the government to curb the circulation of fake currency in the country.
The members of Samajwadi Party tried to disturb Pathak's speech. (ANI)
