CPI-M leader Jyoti Basu hospitalised

Kolkata, Jul 12: CPI-M leader and former West Bengal chief minister Jyoti Basu has been admitted hospital on Sunday, Jul 12 following breathing trouble, hospital sources said.

96-year-old on Jul 8 was taken in an ambulance to the AMRI hospital near his Salt Lake residence of Indira Bhavan after he spent a restless night.

Sources said, " Basu has been admitted to the Intensive Cardiac Care Unit." The Communist Party of India-Marxist leader's son Chandan Basu told reporters that he is recovering now.
