Wife becomes a suspect in businessman's murder

New Delhi, Jul 10: A 32 year old businessman's murder has taken a sensational turn as the police now suspect that he was murdered by his wife for property gains. Jagmohan Singh Kohli, who was murdered at his Rajouri Garden home in West Delhi owns property worth Rs 1.1 crore.

Kohli's wife, however , claims that four assailants came into her house and stabbed her husband after tying her up. The incident took place somewhere in the early hours of Thursday, Jul 9. Kohli who was stabbed 15 times was taken to a hospital but was declared dead.

The police have ruled out motives such as robbery as the house was not ransacked. Kohli's wife, Sumit Kaur's statement has been taken down and she has been detained. Since there are contradictions to the statements that the 29-year-old wife has given, the police are 'investigating all angles'.
