'BJP leaders just want their names in Newspapers'

New Delhi, Jul 7: The Bharatiya Janata Party is still trying to come to terms with the poll debacle. Alluding to the possible intra-party feud and the lack of cohesion in the party, LK Advani said 'there are too many spokespersons' in BJP.

The leader of the opposition, LK Advani publicly criticised his party members for airing their disagreements with the ideology and the party.

"The urge (among some party leaders) to see their names in newspapers ...to see their face on TV for a few seconds ... Sometimes, I feel there are too many spokespersons in our party," he said on Monday, Jul 6.

BJP that lost to the Congress-led UPA in the Lok Sabha polls almost fell apart during the defeat. Many leaders spoke to the media on why the party lost and certain letters written on the same issue by some leaders was leaked into the media. LK Advani has ever since criticised his party members and urged them to sustain the dignity of the party.
