PM asks AI to submit its new biz plan in 30 days

New Delhi, Jul 2: Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh on Wednesday, Jul 1 has asked the cash crunch Air India to prepare its new business plan within 30 days.

Sources have said that a panel of cabinet secretary, secretary of the civil aviation would monitors the progress. The Air India will give its business plan within 30 days which will include financial restructuring and rationalisation of manpower. The plan also essentially means cost cutting and even lay-offs

The Air India employees will be getting their salary on Thursday, Jul 3. The integration of Air India and Indian Airlines will also be completed within 30days.
