PC inaugurates Chennai's NSG hub on Jul 1
Chennai, Jul 1: The second National Security Guard (NSG) hub was inaugurated in Chennai on Wednesday, Jul 1 by Home Minister P Chidambaram.
Chidambaram said that placing NSG does not mean that there was an increase in terror threat to the country.
He also said, "We are also using special forces of the Army. Bangalore hub is by the special forces of the Army. I am trying to set up a special forces of the Army in Jodhpur and one in Guwahati using the Border security force."

told
reporters
in
Mumbai.
He also added that there were inputs that terrorists may might attack the west coast region through sea.
When asked whether there would be more NSG hubs, the minister said the four metros of Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata are covered in the first phase.
