President unveils statue of Maharana Pratap in Udaipur

Udaipur, June 30 (ANI): President Pratibha Patil on Tuesday unveiled the statue of Maharana Pratap at the newly constructed international airport terminal in Udaipur.

Remembering the life and courage of Maharana Pratap, President Patil said the country is proud of him.

"Maharana Pratap is source of inspiration for the young generation of the country and youth should follow his qualities of love for the motherland, unity, leadership and brotherhood," the President added.

The 15-feet long, three ton statue is the biggest statue of Maharana Pratap in the country.

Union Minister Dr. C.P. Joshi and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot were present on the occasion. (ANI)
