India: 2 new cases of Swine flu, total up to 80

New Delhi, Jun 27: With two more H1N1 Influenza or Swine flu cases being reported from India on Friday, Jun 26, the total number of cases in the country has risen to 80. The two new cases are that of two teenagers, one from Mumbai and one from New Delhi.

At least 629 persons have been tested so far, of whom 80 are positive for Influenza A (H1N1), a Health Ministry statement read.

On the same day, United States announced that the number of Swine Flu cases in the country has risen to about a million.

According to WHO figures, at least 55,867 laboratory-confirmed cases of influenza A (H1N1) infection from 108 countries were reported till Jun 24.
