Bombay High Court cancels Raj Thackeray's bail
Mumbai, Jun 16: The Bombay High Court on Tuesday, Jun 16 cancelled the bail granted to MNS chief Raj Thackeray by a lower court and asked him to surrender before the Railway court in Kalyan on Jun 29.
Raj is suppose to appear before the Railway court in Kalyan, for the case that pertains to attack by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers on candidates appearing for railway examination last Oct.
Amit Desai, the special public prosecutor in the case said, "The High Court has set aside bail granted to him by Kalyan magistrate's court, as well as the anticipatory bail given by Kalyan sessions court." He added the the court has asked Raj to surrender on Jun 29. Government Railway Police had reportedly sought his custody.
