Woman sets self aflame in Delhi

New Delhi, Jun 15: Delhi police said that a 50-year-old woman set herself on fire and jumped from the first floor of her house on Monday, Jun 15.

Sharda, a resident of Block G in Jehangirpuri in northwest Delhi, set herself ablaze in front of her 15-year-old daughter and jumped from the first floor of the house at around 9 am. N S Bundela, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest) said to media, "The woman has suffered 70 pc burn injuries and was rushed to the hospital where her condition is stated to be critical."

Sharda's husband was not at home when the incident took place. Police are trying to ascertain the reason behind the incident.
