Kanpur, June 15 (ANI): Lawyers from Pakistan's Lahore High court, on a visit to India following a invitation of the Kanpur Bar Association, undertook cleaning of the Ganga River at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh on Monday.

Amin Ahmad, Attorney, Lahore High Court Pakistan, enthusiastically took out rubbish from the river and said that this should be done regularly

"The work should be done everyday. On every holiday, the youth from schools and colleges should take an initiative to do this work so that the river banks become clean, they should look beautiful," Amin Ahmad said.

Meanwhile Sajia Ahmad, a Pakistani Representative, said that it felt like she was doing something in her own country.

"I am feeling very good. It feels like I'm doing something in my own country. It'll be good if everyone does it. It will be good for health and cleanliness will be maintained," she said.

The delegation members said that they believe in building peace and good relations amongst not just the two nations of India and Pakistan, but also between all the SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Corporation consisting of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Maldives) countries, so that the region emerges as powerful force to reckon with.
