Landmine blast kills 11 policemen in Jharkhand
Ranchi, Jun 10: At least 11 policemen were killed and six others injured in a landmine blast by Maoists in West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand on Wednesday, Jun 10.
V D Ram, Director General of Police (DGP) said that the incident took place in Serenga-Aruanga village of district when a joint team of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and local police was returning in a mini truck after a two-day patrolling in naxal-infested Saranda forest.
He also said that the Maoists triggered the blast, killing 11 policemen, including a CRPF inspector.
