Indices end flat; Nifty below 4400 mark
Mumbai, Jun 8:At 04:24 pm, the benchmark indices saw huge profit booking on the back of sell-off across the sectors. Metal, banking, realty and infrastructure stocks sectors dragged the Nifty near to 4400 mark and Sensex towards the 14,600 level.
The broader indices widely underperformed the benchmark indices. On the sectoral front, the Realty Index was down 10.5 pc followed by Metal and Bank indices, which declined 6.5 pc and 4.4pc, respectively.
The 30-share BSE Sensex touched low of 14,604.23, before closing the session at 14,665.92, down 437.63 points. The 50-share NSE Nifty shut shop at 4429.90, down 157 points, after seeing a low of 4404.65.
Among the broader indices, the BSE Midcap Index tumbled 294.93 points or 5.45 pc to 5,114.85 and the Smallcap Index fell 5.8 pc or 374.77 points, to settle at 6,083.88.

The markets slipped further. At 01:35 pm Sensex was down by 239.08 points to 14864.47 and the Nifty was down 88.90 points at 4498.00. The BSE Smallcap and Midcap were down 3 pc and 2.26 pc respectively.
Stocks like ICICI Bank, HDFC, Bharti Airtel, HDFC Bank and ITC were negative contributors to the Sensex. However, Reliance, Infosys, L&T, TCS and Grasim were positive contributors.
Top losers on the Sensex were Tata Steel at Rs 435.45 down to 6.13 pc SBI at Rs 1,712.50 down 5.8 pc, Jaiprakash Associates at Rs 218.50 down to 5.53 pc, DLF at Rs 386.70 down to 5.23 pc and Ranbaxy Labs at Rs 270.85 down to 4.81 pc

Markets volatile: Nifty hovering at 4,500
Mumbai, Jun 8: The markets are trading marginally lower. At 11:30 am , the Sensex was down 70 points to 15,032 mark and the Nifty lose 41 points to 4, 545. Among the broader indices, the BSE Midcap fell 1.4 pc and the Smallcap Index declined 2.4 pc.

Indices open flat; trading choppy
Opening on a mild positive note, Markets are now trading with volatility. At 9:58 am, the Sensex was up 27 points, to 15,131 and the Nifty rose just 5 points, to 4,591. The CNX Midcap went up 60 points, to 5,743.
