'Wipro to remain unaffected by GM's bankruptcy'

Mumbai, Jun 3; India's third largest software services firm, Wipro has declared that General Motors' Bankruptcy will not hurt it.

Wipro on Wednesday, Jun 3 said that the accounts receivable from GM was less than $8 million and that it will be unaffected by the U.S. automaker's bankruptcy filing.

In a statement, Wipro said that GM accounts for less than 1 percent of Wipro's IT services segment revenue. Based on the firm's assessment a substantial portion of the revenue is expected to continue.

Wipro also added that it is in constant touch with GM to 'monitor and assess the situation'.
