Four children killed in boat tragedy in UP

Bijnor, June 3 (ANI): At least four children died when a boat capsized in Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday.

The mishap took place when the boat carrying around nine people overturned in the Kho river, drowning all the passengers and claiming the lives of at least four children.

The incident created panic in the region, and divers were called in to search for the victims in the river.

The divers were able to take out eight bodies, most of which were children.

According to reports, the boat overturned because of a strong current that engulfed it while the boat was passing under a bridge.

All the passengers were reported to be from Dhampur region, who were out on a sight seeing spree. (ANI)
