Q4: L&T posts 3.3pc raise in net profit

Mumbai, May 28: Larsen and Toubro Ltd, on Thursday, May 28 posted its fourth quarter (Q4) which was beat the forecasts with a 3.3 per cent surge. The company reported a net profit of s 999 crore ($209 million) in its fourth quarter ended March 31, 2009.

The company saw an increase from last year's number of Rs 967 crore. However, the company's numbers were weighed down by was weighed down by a provision of Rs 185 crore for its investment in Satyam Computer Services.

The company's net sales went up to Rs 10,470 crore from Rs 8,470 crore.

The company's positive numbers comes on the back of strong order flow of infrastructure contracts.
