Class 12 CBSE Maths exam kill 2 students

Bangalore, May 24: Two students allegedly committed suicide after they failed in Class 12 Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Mathematics examination.

Mohammad Tabish Imam, 17, hanged himself on Saturday, May 23 in his Manas path residence in Patna here after failing in the exam. He was a student of Shivam Public School. Meanwhile Amit Bansal, a resident of Dadri near Noida, a class 12 student of the Sunshine Public School committed suicide Friday, May 22 by getting run over by a train.

Amit left his home at 6.00 am to see his result on the Internet. When he found out that he had obtained only 22 marks in mathematics, he walked on to the rail line near Dadri railway station and lay on the tracks as a fast-moving goods train was approaching.

Imam's father Mohammad Akhtar said, "My son was depressed after failing in mathematics." He added that Imam was a hardworking boy who attained 72 pc over all in the examination. Investigation is on in both cases
