Intl business mag Forbes launches Indian Edition

Mumbai, May 22: India saw its first international business publication when Forbe's Chairman, CEO and Editor-In-Chief Steve Forbes unveiled the magazine on Thursday, May 21.

"I doubt there's been a better time to launch Forbes India. In the midst of economic doom and gloom, India's story is one of resilience in adversity and optimism for the future," said Steve Forbes speaking on the occasion.

Founder and Editor of Network 18 Raghav Bahl who also spoke at the launch, said, "The Indian media landscape has had quite a few inflection points in its history. These are points when the rules of the game change and a new language of content emerges and the landscape alters fundamentally. We believe that this will be that inflection point for business coverage in the country."

Forbes promises to take on the role of the critic of the Indian business and enable people to be able to see beyond the obvious and analyse the events themselves. The magazine will help its readers connect the dots and make patterns and give a different angle to news, a press release statement read.
